It's About Growth

There have been times when someone criticized you or told you your idea wouldn't work, or that you were bad at something, or whatever. We have all been there. Sometimes, it comes from people who care deeply about you. Not everyone who tells you something won't work is a hater, or a critic, or a Debbie Downer. These people care about you, they care about your product, they care about your feelings. Sometimes, people are haters and don't care about your success at all.

It doesn't matter, because almost everyone (whether they care about you or not) forgets to tell you what is always implied in criticism. It's that you can do better. You can be better. Life is about growth and whatever feedback they gave you (unless it's total bullshit) is part of the feedback necessary for growth. There are people who are better at recognizing this than others and they will always try to give you actionable feedback. Find those people and treat them well. They are invaluable.

Finally, don't ever let yourself stop growing. Don't ever think that you can't eventually do something. It may take growth and more time than you are willing to sacrifice, but it's all possible. Yep, upon deeper reflection it's great but it sucks. Why? Because you no longer have an excuse. Now, get to growing :-)
